The tests require you to use general knowledge and critical thinking skills. Once you have successfully completed all five tests, you will be awarded a high school diploma by examination from the State of Alaska
Who can take the GED test?
You are eligible to take the tests if you are at least 16 years old and are not enrolled in and have not graduated from high school. If you are a 16 or 17 year old student, you will need to have parental consent before testing and have a withdrawal slip from the last school you attended in Alaska. The first step is to come to our testing center for an educational assessment. GED preparation classes are available using classroom activities, tutors and a computerized learning center.
